LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION
Vivid Entertainment
Los Angeles, CA; (Apr-30-07) Kim Kardashian, daughter of former O.J. Simpson defense attorney, the late Robert Kardashian, sued adult video distributor Vivid Entertainment in February 2007, over a homemade video of her having sex with ex-boyfriend, singer Ray J, without her consent. The tape, which Vivid paid a million dollars for, is now a bestseller in adult video stores and online markets. In a settlement reached, Vivid Entertainment agreed to pay Kim Kardashian close to $5 million to drop her suit against them. Vivid has also agreed to cease distribution of the video by the end of May. Kim, who once denied that the tape ever existed, finally claimed in her lawsuit, that distribution of the tape was a violation of her right to privacy.
