Santa Monica, CA: (Mar-05-07) On August 29, 2005 47-year-old Maria Carrera was struck by a Big Blue Bus while crossing the crosswalk on Ocean Avenue and Pico Boulevard. Carrera was a housekeeper on her way to work when she was hit and killed. Her husband, Oscar Saenz, filed a wrongful death lawsuit agains the city of Santa Monica.
