Employee Theft

Greenfield, NH: (Feb-08-08) Crotched Mountain Foundation brought a lawsuit against Linda Bevins, a former employee, accusing her of stealing more than a million dollars. The suit stated that Bevins stole $1.3 million dollars by writing paychecks for people who were not employed by the foundation, which provides medical services to poor patients. The foundation sued Bevins; her daughter, Holly Sears; and her estranged husband, Michael Bevins, and the criminal case still is pending. Sources close to the case revealed that a hefty judgment reportedly has been granted to the Crotched Mountain Foundation against Linda Bevins. The foundation's legal counsel stated that judgments against Bevins and Sears are more than $1 million. No judgment has been issued yet against Michael Bevins. [FOSTERS: EMPLOYEE THEFT]
