Coca-Cola settles securities fraud Class Action

Coca-Cola Co. has agreed to pay $137.5 million to settle a securities lawsuit claiming the company artificially inflated sales to boost its stock price. The lawsuit was filed in 2000 and claimed that four former executives had forced bottlers to purchase millions of dollars of unnecessary beverage concentrate in order to artificially boost sales.
