$435 Million Settlement Reached in Marsh and McLennan Securities Class Action

New York, NY: Marsh and McLennan (M&M), has agreed to a settle a shareholder class action for $435 million. The settlement is tentative, as it remains subject to court approval.
One of the world's largest insurance brokerages, M&M was accused in the lawsuit of bid rigging and price fixing of its insurance contracts.
The settlement will see $400 million go to ending the securities litigation and $35 million to settle another suit related to alleged violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
