Bayer AG and GlaxoSmithKline

will pay a combined $345 million dollars to settle whistleblower claims that the companies were overcharging the federal Medicaid program. This is the largest Medicaid fraud settlement ever, and the funds will be distributed to the federal government, the District of Columbia and every state except Arizona. (Apr-17-03)
