Epilepsy Drugs Linked to Risk of Suicide
People taking anti-seizure medications are at a 0.43 percent increased risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviour, according to findings by the FDA. This compares with just 0.22 percent of people taking placebo in the near 200 studies evaluated by the agency. Consequently, 11 epilpsy drugs will have new suicide warnings on their labelling his change will come soon, the FDA reported. And the warnings could be in place by the summer.
