Equifax.

A $250,000 settlement has been reached between credit bureau Equifax and the Federal Trade Commission to resolve charges that the company did not do enough to answer calls from consumers inquiring about their credit reports. The actions listed in the charges were in violation of an earlier settlement between Equifax and the Commission that was reached in 1996 and imposed performance standards on how the company takes calls.
