General Motors Corp

A $495 million dollar settlement has been reached between General Motors Corp. and plaintiffs in a number of lawsuits claiming that the company's pickup trucks were prone to explosion. Several suits have already been settled for an average of $1.6 million dollars each in regards to the company's 1973 to 1987 model year trucks, which were dangerous because the fuel tanks were mounted outside of the truck's protective frame.
