Cedarburg Police Department

In May of 2000, over two dozen police officers entered the Bruton home in the middle of the night in search of weapons. Although no weapons were found, the Bruton's son eventually pleaded no contest to burglary and was sentenced to eight years in prison. The Bruton family filed a lawsuit claiming false arrest, battery, permanent psychological damage, and emotional distress and was awarded a $9,000 settlement. (May-10-05) [GM TODAY]
