Just weeks before cable median barriers were to be installed, a Clemson University student was killed when a car crossed Interstate 85 and struck her car. Walter and Carol Farrell sued the Transportation Department for the wrongful death of their 19 year old daughter Jennifer. A judge approved a $150,000 settlement awarded to the Ferrells who have decided to set up a scholarship fund at their daughter's high school in Marietta. (May-27-05) [WISTV]
