K-2 Sports Snowboard Bindings Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and K-2 Sports has announced the recall of about 2,500 pairs of K-2 snowboard bindings. The recall was prompted due to a faulty cable that links the toe strap to the binding that can break, posing a fall hazard to snowboarders. K-2 Sports, based in Seattle, WA, indicated the product in question is the 2007 model year K2 "Auto" snowboard bindings that were available in black or white, and sold at sporting goods retailers nationwide from August 2007 through May 2008. "K2" and "Auto" are printed on the toe strap.
