Oxinium Knee Replacements
In August 2003, two models of Knee Implant from the medical device manufacturer Smith & Nephew were recalled, specifically the Oxinium Pro-Fix II and the Oxinium Genesis II. Some of these "cementless" knee replacements have failed to bond properly requiring additional surgery which greatly increased the possibility of infection, as well as joint, muscular and neurological damage in addition to further painful rehabilitation.
While only a limited percentage of patients required replacement procedures according to the manufacturer, it is alleged that a higher number of individuals who have these had these products implanted between February 2002 and August 2003 may have implants that have since failed or are failing.
If you had either the the Oxinium Pro-Fix II or the Oxinium Genesis II implant surgery between February 2002 and August 2003, and you are experiencing problems with the product, we are seeking such patients for a potential class action or for individual action seeking further treatment and compensation for pain and suffering, among other damages. Claims against Smith & Nephew are being perused on behalf of patients who have suffered unnecessarily due to painful revision surgery or those who may require such surgery as a result of current or impending failure of the implants.
If you believe you are one of the individuals described above, fill out the form below and the attorneys interested in this matter will review your information for possible further contact and possible inclusion in the anticipated litigation.
STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS NOTICE: Current law limits the amount of time after a patient incurs an injury to file for litigation, such time varying from state to state and that states theory of liability. Timing may be of the essence in your case and we encourage you to provide your information as quickly as possible to avoid statute of limitation restrictions. If you have suffered as a result of Knee Implant Surgery, please consult with a qualified attorney to protect and fully understand your legal rights.
