Monogram International Inc. Announces Recall of over 140,000 children's Bracelet Key rings containing Lead

Monogram International Inc. of Pinellas Park, Florida announced on September 22, 2005 that they were issuing a recall for about 145,000 Disney Princess Bracelet Key rings based on reports that the recalled jewelry contains lead, a substance that is toxic to humans and is of particular risk to children.

Monogram International states that there have been no reports of injuries resulting from ingesting parts of the bracelet that is subject to the recall.

The "Bracelet Key ring" is a pink plastic key ring attached to a bracelet which consists of pink and white beads or red and white beads, a metal pendant and metal dividers between the beads. It was sold under the brand Disney Princess. "Item #24405" and "Made In China" are printed on the back of the packaging.

Manufactured in China, the bracelets were sold nationwide through a variety of retail outlets between November 2003 through June 2005 at a cost of about $3.

Consumers are urged to take these recalled items from their children and return them to Monogram International Inc., for a refund.
