Pulaski County Special School District.

A $25,000 settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed against the Pulaski County Special School District by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of 14-year-old Thomas McLaughlin of Jacksonville. McLaughlin was disciplined by his school district and had his teachers preach to him from the bible for talking about being gay to his schoolmates. McLaughlin will receive an apology from school officials and his disciplinary record will be cleared. (Jul-18-03)
