Sears North Hollywood Peeping Tom
Los Angeles, CA: A Sears worker has been arrested for secretly filming women with hidden cameras, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said yesterday. Hundreds of women--both Sears customers and Sears employees--may have been filmed.
Alejandro Gamiz, a 27-year old maintenance man employed at the 12121 Victory Blvd location of Sears in North Hollywood, has fully admitted to police that he was secretly recording women "for 3 years, that we're aware of, while he worked at Sears," the LAPD said. According to LA Police, Gamiz allegedly used up to 60 cameras to that were hidden behind walls in the Sears dressing rooms and bathrooms.
Gamiz was arrested on suspicion of secretly filming women in the bathroom and fitting rooms, LAPD Detective Karen Crawford told local news media Wednesday night. Evidence supporting the arrest was obtained by LAPD sexual assault detectives, police said.
