The government has agreed to $5 million to Natalie Cordero in one of the largest single-victim personal injury settlements ever settled under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Cordero suffered burns on 30 percent of her body and partial amputation of her hand when her stalled car was hit by a Postal service truck.
