Volvo
A $104,000 settlement agreement has settled a suit claiming Volvo mislabeled 13,237cars, which were mistakenly labeled for sale in California. Mr. William Shapiro, acting on the behalf of Volvo Cars, signed a settlement agreement and $104,000 was paid from Volvo.
Volvo agreed to work with each of the 26 California residents to repurchase and replace all 26 illegal vehicles. The illegal cars were removed from California. The final settlement of $104,000 includes a payment of $78,000 to the Air Pollution Control Fund, and $26,000 went towards a mutually acceptable Supplemental Environmental Project.
