Diet and Exercise May Help Avert Avandia Side Effects

Sherwood, ORA Senate subcommittee recently suggested that medical professionals had been paid to cover up Avandia side effects, leading health advocates and concerned citizen groups to call for more traditional treatments for diabetes like diet and exercise.

Yet there are natural options to treat or prevent certain forms of diabetes and assuage the risks of medications like Avandia.

While type one diabetes is largely unpreventable and can only be treated with insulin injections, a new study suggests that pregnant women with optimal vitamin D levels have a better chance of birthing a non-diabetic baby.

Type two diabetes can be prevented through proper diet and exercise, two factors that improve one's ability to process chemical compounds like leptin and insulin.
