Los Angeles, CAA Sears worker has been arrested for secretly filming women with hidden cameras, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said yesterday. Hundreds of women may have been filmed.
Alejandro Gamiz, a 27-year old maintenance man employed at the 12121 Victory Blvd location of Sears in North Hollywood, has fully admitted to police that he was secretly recording women "for 3 years, that we're aware of, while he worked at Sears," the LAPD said.
Gamiz was arrested on suspicion of secretly filming women in the bathroom and fitting rooms, LAPD Detective Karen Crawford told local news media Wednesday night. Evidence supporting the arrest was obtained by LAPD sexual assault detectives, police said.
Gamiz was released after posting $20,000 bail. The case has been forwarded to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office for review, the LAPD said.
