The news source reports that George Washington University health analyst Thomas Moore previously examined a number of studies by drug companies related to antidepressants that had not been published. He reportedly concluded that 40 percent of the studies associated with such medications have not been published, likely because the drugs were not effective, the news provider said.
Paxil, one medication used to treat depression, has been linked to birth defects such as heart problems, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.
