Six people, including four family members, are dead, killed at the scene of a multi-car collision on the westbound Pomona Freeway in Diamond Bar, CA in which driving under the influence is the suspected cause. According to media reports the two others killed included the sister of the woman driving a Chevy Camaro, who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and manslaughter.

According to ABCNews 9.com two of the four people in a Ford Explorer, Gregorio Mejia-Martinez, 47, and Ester Delgado, died at the scene on State Route 60. The two other family members - Leticia Ibarra, 42, and Jessica Jasmine Mejia, 20, were declared dead at the hospital.

The two female passengers in the Chevy Camaro also died. According to the authorities, the Camaro was driven by 21-year-old suspect Olivia Culbreath. Her sister, Maya Louise Culbreath, 24, of Rialto and Kristin Melissa Young, 24, of Chino were declared dead at the scene. Reports indicate Olivia was arrested after being pulled from the wreckage of the Camaro. She was being treated for a broken femur and a ruptured bladder, according to officials.

Witnesses who saw the crash said the Camaro was traveling at 100 mph. According to the authorities, Culbreath was heading north in the southbound lanes of State Route 57 before moving east in the westbound lanes where the vehicle collided head-on with the Ford Explorer. A Ford Freestyle then crashed into the Explorer.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Rodrigo Jimenez said the crash scene in Diamond Bar, a suburb east of Los Angeles, was horrific. Three people were ejected from their cars and the Camaro was barely recognizable. Jimenez told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that evidence collected from the scene included alcohol.

Olivia Culbreath remained in hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Ford Freestyle sustained minor injuries.
