Plane Crash Kills 4 Americans

div itemprop="articleBody" class="article">Ensenada, MexicoFour people have been killed in a small plane crash just outside of Ensenada on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Two of the people killed were doctors, the third was a non-medical person, and the fourth was the pilot. They have been identified as Dr. James Thornton, Dr. Graciela Sarmiento, Andrew Theil, a non-medical support staffer, and pilot Roger Lyon.

The plane, a Beechcraft A36, was flying a medical mission. It was en route from San Quintin, Mexico to Baja, California, according to a report on CNN.com. Victor Jones, President of the Flying Samaritans, told the press that the plane lost contact with the ground on Friday, and the wreckage was located following an extensive air, ground and water search on Saturday. Flying Samaritans transports medical and support personnel to places around the world to provide free medical services and supplies to those who lack medical care, CNN said.
