Three Dead in Russian Plane Accident

div itemprop="articleBody" class="article">Moscow, RussiaAt least three people are dead, three are missing and more than 30 hospitalized after a plane accident in Russia. The plane, which was bound for Moscow, reportedly caught fire and exploded during takeoff. According to The New York Times (01/01/11), the fire was caused by an engine malfunction and criminal investigation has been opened into the plane accident.

One witness reported that the emergency exits did not open properly once the fire began and passengers on the plane began to panic. Some of those hospitalized suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, broken bones and burns.
