Myrtle Beach, SCAuthories are reporting that a small plane crash has left two people dead – one the pilot of the plane and the other a woman living in a recreational vehicle into which the plane crashed. The husband of the woman in the RV was injured suffering first-degree burns.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon, when the fixed wing, single engine Cessna was trying to land at a nearby airport, but missed the runway. The plane crashed a half-mile away in the Briarcliffe RV Resort.
According to a report on the state.com the woman living next door to the wrecked RV, Gail Moore, arrived at the RV park a day ago and was located directly beside the trailer that the plane struck.
She said she heard the explosion and went outside to, and while trying to move her car she heard screams from inside the burning trailer. "Listening to someone die is not a very nice thing," she said. "The screaming, I can't get it out of my head."
FAA records show the Cessna is registered to Flynfish LLC in Plymouth, Mass. No contact information for that company could immediately be found.
