Three Strikes after Depuy Synthes Attune Knee, First Lawsuit is Filed

Mobile, AL: An Alabama law firm has announced it has filed the first DePuy Synthes Attune knee lawsuit in the U.S., alleging premature failure of the knee replacement system.

Risperdal Judge Explains Reasons for Denying Janssen a New Trial

Philadelphia, PA: As the manufacturer of Risperdal (risperidone) continues their attempts to have a recent plaintiff verdict overturned, the Pennsylvania state judge assigned to the case explained last month why he denied a request by Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. for a new trial in the Risperdal side effects lawsuit.

Pregnant with Mirena IUD

Fort Mitchell, AL:The Mirena IUD for birth control has been in the news recently, albeit under bizarre circumstances. One mom in Alabama posted on Facebook a photo of her newborn holding the IUD that was meant to prevent his appearance. A woman in the UK was implanted with Mirena when she was unknowingly pregnant—sadly the baby was stillborn.

Retaliation to be added to Tesla Inc. Workplace Racial Discrimination Suit

Oakland, CA Legal team representing a 44-year-old African American man who claims he was harassed and discriminated against while working as an assembly line worker at the Tesla car factory in Fremont, California is adding a charge of retaliation to the already long list of claims of violations of the California state labor laws.

Woman Claims She Suffered Kidney Injuries from Taking Acid Reflux Medications

Alabama:An Alabama woman is suing the makers of the popular proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medications Nexium, Prilosec and Prevacid for kidney-related injuries she claims she suffered after taking the products.

Lawsuits Mount for Stryker Over Allegedly Failed Medical Devices

Philadelphia, PA: A hip replacement implant failure lawsuit filed earlier this year against Howmedica Osteonics Corp. (Howmedica), the parent company of Stryker Corp. (Stryker), highlights the ongoing litigation that is building over allegedly defective hip implants, and implant components. Late last month, proposed claims with regard to a failed bone implant manufactured by Stryker were given the green light in Philadelphia.

The Story of Libby Montana and Asbestosis

Birmingham, AL In January 2017, after more than a decade of litigation, 1,000 vermiculite mine workers and residents of the town of Libby, Montana were awarded a $25 million settlement in compensation for exposure to asbestos from the W.R. Grace Company vermiculite mine that caused dozens and dozens of cases of asbestosis, mesothelioma or lung cancer.

IVC Filters “Deadly Missiles”
