According to the Southeast Texas Record (2/6/12), Dukes received her Zimmer Knee Replacement on the 14th of July 2009. However, according to the plaintiff's lawsuit, the knee replacement system loosened and required revision surgery just under seven months later.
Dukes, who hails from Bonham, underwent a second surgery on February 4, 2010.
Dukes filed her NexGen lawsuit February 3 of this year in the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division and names Zimmer Inc., Zimmer Holdings Inc., Wilson/Phillips Holdings Inc. (also known as Zimmer Wilson Phillips), and Zimmer Orthopaedic Surgical Products Inc. as defendants.

Dukes is seeking compensation for medical expenses, lost income and economic loss, debilitating injury, permanent instability and loss of balance, immobility, pain and suffering, special damages, triple damages, attorney's fees, and interest and court costs.
The Zimmer NexGen knee plaintiff is requesting a trial by jury.
