The deadline to file claims for a share of the $1.1 billion settlement in the California antitrust suit has been extended to Jan. 8, 2005. The suit was filed on behalf of more than 14 million California consumers and businesses that purchased Microsoft operating systems or specified applications software, either pre-installed or bought separately, between Feb. 18, 1995 and Dec. 15, 2001 for use in California.
