Dominion Resources Inc.

will pay $1.2 billion dollars to settle a lawsuit with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Justice Department and the five states, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The settlement is the largest of its kind under the federal Clean Air Act, and the funds will be used over the next ten years to make pollution control improvements at Dominion's plants. (Apr-19-03)
