Northrop Grumman Corp.

A $111 million dollar settlement has been reached in the whistleblower lawsuit filed against TRW Inc., which was acquired by Northrop Grumman Corp. in 2002. The suit filed under the federal False Claims Act by former TRW employee Richard Bagley, who claimed that the company had improperly billed the government on numerous projects from 1990 to 1997. The federal government will pay Bagley $27.2 million dollars, or 24.5 percent of the settlement amount. (Jun-09-03)
