A verdict of $624,000 has been awarded to a Suffolk County corrections officer who claimed to have been harassed for being gay. Michael Salvi filed the sexual harassment lawsuit after his car was vandalized twice, he received children's alphabet blocks glued together spelling out "fag" delivered to his front porch, and he claimed that numerous rumors and gossip had circulated about him at his workplace.
