Libya.
A settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed on behalf of the families of 270 people who were killed in the 1988 bombing of a Pam Am jetliner. Under the terms of settlement, a $2.7 billion fund will be established by the Libyan government to compensate the families, who would receive at least $5 million each. The terror attack occurred over Scotland, and was carried out by a Libyan agent. (Aug-15-03) [ABC NEWS]
