A $34.5 million settlement has been reached in the antitrust lawsuit filed by Cascade Hardwood in Chehalis, Alexander Lumber Mill in Onalaska, Westwood Lumber in Reedsport, Ore., and Morton Alder Mill in Willamina, Ore. The suit alleged that the company had manipulated alder-wood markets to drive competitors out of business. (Mar-10-04)
