A $1.2 million settlement has been approved in the lawsuit filed on behalf of 88 protestors at the 2000 Democratic National Convention. The protestors were injured by Los Angeles Police Department officers who used rubber bullets, beanbag projectiles and pepper spray to break up a protest outside Staples Center.
