An $8.5 million settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed by the city of Dallas in regards to the March 2000 gasoline spill near Lake Tawakoni. Approximately 560,000 gallons of fuel was spilled into the lake, causing the city to temporarily have to use an alternate water supply. (Feb-19-04) [ STAR-TELEGRAM ]
