Federal Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh has confirmed that a settlement will been reached in the class-action lawsuits launched by Canadian victims infected with hepatitis C from tainted blood before 1986 and after 1990. The plaintiffs in these suits were omitted from an earlier, $1.1-billion package designed for those who were infected with the disease between 1986 and 1990.
