Lindsay VanSchoick slammed into the side of John Hopping work tractor trailer with his Ford Explorer when Hoppings allegedly ran a stop sign. The crash occurred in February of 2000 and left VanSchoick with debilitating back, neck and elbow injuries. After numerous spinal surgeries he is still unable to perform his job as a computer programmer. VanSchoick was awarded $1.7 million settlement to cover medical expenses and potential lost wages.
