Blount County Sheriff James Berrong

Kathy Veal was an employee for the Sheriff's Office when she filed a gender harassment lawsuit against Berrong and police chief deputy Tony Crisp. A federal judge dismissed the charges against Crisp but Berrong was held liable and was ordered to pay Veal a $50,000 settlement. (Apr-26-05) [WATE NEWS]
