The Berkeley real estate entrepreneur allegedly took two of Mr. Prattipati's daughters from India to California where he forced into a promiscuous labor ring. One of Prattipati's daughters died of carbon monoxide poisoning while being kept in a poorly ventilated room by Reddy. After the jury was empanelled and the plaintiffs were deposed the Prattipati family won a settlement of $8.9 million. (May-17-05) [LAW NEWS]
