William Murray, a one time senior vice president for capital management, was fired. Murray filed a whistleblower lawsuit against his former employer claiming he was fired after bringing dubious accounting practices to the attention of his supervisors. He alleged chief financial officer Mike McNally was overly aggressive in managing the company's earnings. TXU agreed to an out of court settlement; the terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
