Grant County Detention Center

Todd Cox was arrested for driving under the influence. He was taken to jail where personnel allegedly repeatedly kicked him and left him with broken ribs and other injuries. Grant County agreed to pay Cox a $70,000 personal injury settlement. Roy Cobb, John Taylor, and George Overby are three other allegedly abused inmates who also received settlements from the detention center, but the amount was undisclosed. (Jun-28-05) [KENTUCKY POST]
