At 4:20 in the morning the Australian actor was trying to call his wife back home, but his hotel room phone wasn't working. Crowe brought the phone down to the lobby and began yelling at Mercer Hotel porter Nestor Estrada. Crowe allegedly threw the phone at Estrada's face and left him with a laceration. Crowe has agreed to pay Estrada a $10.8 million out of court settlement. If convicted on assault and weapon possession charges, Crowe would face up to 7 years in prison. (Aug-15-05)
