LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION
Eisenhower Medical Center
Healthcare Financial Advisors acted as the Riverside County desert hospitals' consulting firm and was assigned to prepare cost reports for insurers. Whistleblower, Mark Razin, claimed Eisenhower over billed Medicare from 1990 to 1998 by failing to disclose information that would have resulted in reduced Medicare reimbursements. The lawsuit claimed the hospital fraudulently over billed Medicare during the 1990s and manipulated costs to gain greater compensation. Eisenhower Medical Center admits no wrongdoing, but has agreed to pay an $8 million settlement to the U.S. government. (Sep-01-05)
