In 1998, 11 year old Ryan Harris was molested and murdered. Two boys under the age of 8 were falsely accused of the brutal crime. DNA tests later led police to charge Floyd Durr. The parents of one of the boys filed a lawsuit against the city and two detectives which claimed police framed their son and ignored evidence that showed he was innocent. The city of Chicago has agreed to a $6.2 million civil settlement. (Sep-19-05) [CHARLOTTE OBSERVER]
