After working her shift at the police station, detective Kelly Jobe was attacked by police captain Cyril Sykes Junior. Jobe was left with severe back pain and was unable to work as a detective. She filed a gender harassment lawsuit against the city and Sykes. He is no longer the police captain and spent time in jail for the attack. The city of Newport agreed to pay Jobe a $175,000 settlement. (Jan-19-06) [WCPO NEWS]
