Datran Media Corp.

The New York Attorney General filed charges against the leading e-mail marketer for allegedly misusing e-mail addresses and other personal data it obtained from several companies. Datran allegedly spammed consumers with unsolicited e-mails, advertising discount drugs, diet pills and other products. The New York based company has agreed to change its practices and pay a $1.1 million settlement. (Mar-13-06) [SEATTLE TIMES]
