This is a settlement for the Antitrust lawsuit.
Californian local government entities filed a class action lawsuit against the computer company for allegedly engaging in anticompetitive conduct and using its market power to overcharge members of the government class. The case was filed on behalf of San Francisco City and County and the City of Los Angeles, as well as the counties of Santa Clara, San Mateo, Los Angeles and Contra Costa. Microsoft has reached a tentative $70 Million antitrust class action settlement. (May-02-06)
