On May 3, 2002 5-year-old Micah Kitchen was attacked by a miniature poodle that repeatedly bit his face. Little Micah suffered puncture wounds to his cheek and beneath his lower lip as well as a laceration below his right eye. Micah's parents, Timothy and Jennifer Kitchen filed a lawsuit against their former neighbor. Janet Williams passed away, but her estate awarded the Kitchen family a $17,500 settlement for surgery to eliminate scarring. (May-12-06) [TRIBUNE REVIEW]
