LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION
WestJet Airlines
Air Canada filed a lawsuit against its rival airline for allegedly spying on one of its internal Web sites. WestJet had logged on more than 240,000 times to an internal Web site that contained passenger load data. Under terms of the settlement, WestJet will pay Air Canada, a unit of ACE Holdings, $5.5 million to cover its legal and investigation costs and will also give $10 million to children's charities to be chosen by Air Canada.
