In the spring of 2005, NetRatings filed five initial infringement actions as part of the launch of its patent enforcement program. NetRatings filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Sane Solutions on 22 June 2005. The complaint was amended to add Unica following its acquisition of Sane in March 2006. Unica Corp. has agreed to settle a patent license deal with NetRatings as a result. For a one-time fee of $1.5 million, Unica has obtained a non-exclusive, worldwide license to certain patents owned by NetRatings. (Jul-03-06) [TRADINGMARKETS]
